Ever seen the Dog Whisperer? Ever notice his common advice is that dogs live in the moment, but humans keep track of it all, all the past? That's right. We do. Why can't we let go of the past? One, because someone harmed us, and never, whenever, sought our forgiveness for what they did to us, that incident(s) that so maimed and changed us. We play that tape over and over and over and over AGAIN.
So do you want to remain the walking wounded? Are you sure? You really want to get FREE of it or them? Then there is a way, but of course, it isn't easy or for the timid. You have to reprogram your tapes. Any good shrink will teach you this.
They say you aren't worthy. Of course you are worthy...at least in God's scheme and kingdom. Only the devil sells THAT lie. Only the devil, sells old stories, over and over..and why? To keep you down. To keep you ineffective. God created you. That in and of itself makes you worthy to be loved. Loved by him.
People.. our families, have their own issues. And they inflict those issue and damages on us. You have one choice and that is to say no to their issues and damages. Ok, they maimed you and hurt you. What are YOU going to do in the future about it? Will you damage your own, like what was done to you? Will you stand back and quiet when THEY are hurting? Will you?
COME ON...brother or sister. We are NOT the walking wounded. We are children of the Living God. The God who has victory over and through ALL hardships and hurts. He's won the battle.
Now..it's time for YOU to win the battle.
Don't be as that movie, Night of the Living Dead. Some zombie, going through life with half or no heart, trying not to feel so you won't get hurt again. Change the history. Change the tapes in your head. Change it first for you, then for you and your children. If you don't make a move and change, sin WILL continue to be passed down from generation to generation. ~ So What If It Cost You Something ~
~ So What If It Costs...You Something?~
Life is seldom fair or just. As a matter of fact, the more righteous you are, the harder it gets. Being a person of nobleness, of character and strength, won't just cost you something, it's likely to cost you everything. Sadly, these days you won't find this kind of character. When the going gets rough, people quit. People of mediocre character to people of extreme Godly character. Truth being, people have small spines.
If it costs...they or you don't want to pay. You'll wrestle and fight it the whole way. Sedation and quietness is what people like. They don't like bees in their bonnets. Haven't we learned a thing? There is no control in life. Control is for unintelligent, non feeling people. Are you a feeling person? Is your life full of difficulties you can't see your way clear of? Do people say of you...they must be doing something wrong to have all those problem?
Wrong.
People whose life is filled with difficulty after difficulty are the people God has chosen to change this world. People who have a spine. People who, when it's all crashing in around them, still stand..but not in their own strength, but allow Christ to carry THEM.
Anything of good and true or right character will not only cost you something, but it could cost you everything you have. Are you up to the challenge? If you don't have Christ, I understand. But I am speaking to those who are born again Christians. You can't make it? Where is your faith brother or sister? Where and in whom? If you're trusting and leaning on your own understanding you're right...you're going to fall But if you are trusting and leaning on the Living God and Christ?
Come on. Has he ever let you fall yet?

~Be Ye Separate~
God said from the very beginning of time and our walk with Him that we are to BE YE SEPERATE. What does He mean by that? You're watching world and U.S. events unravel every day. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the world is getting dimmer and dimmer, and our lives are getting harder and harder. Not as hard as they are going to get, I promise you. And if you falter now...you're not going to make it. This post is for the Born Again Christian.
2 Corinthians 6:17 (King James Version)
17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
Why do you think God and Christ commanded this? What does it mean?
There are 48 places in the Bible, Old Testament and New, where God commands us to separate ourselves from the unbelieving world all around us. One of the reasons, is for our own protection. We are commanded to separate ourselves from the unbelieving world. I was watching a sermon this past Sunday from Dr. Charles Stanley, head of the Southern Baptist Convention, and the now LARGEST Christian Ministries worldwide. A man of some sixty plus years of accurate and God based Biblical wisdom. Dr. Stanley was speaking on how unprotected the children of our world are..especially in America. And why and how it is so important to 'train a..or your children up in the way they should go.' He spoke of taking a small child of six and introducing them into an American PAGAN school system. One where God is removed from it. How is a child to believe or think if before they enter that schoolroom door for the first time, they have not the instruction, love and wisdom of our Holy God? He stated ..and I quote..."We are sending them into the lions den." How true that really IS.
God calls us to separate ourselves from the unbelieving world for more than one reason. One to protect us. Two so that we may be his witnesses, to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Three, so that we aren't ensnared by what the world has so comely to offer. God doesn't want us maimed, confused, hurting, defeated, sick, or dying...bodily, emotionally or especially spiritually.
Brother, sister...The day you committed your life to Christ, your life became HIS to do with as He so wills. You life is no longer your own. When he commanded and commands BE YE SEPERATE, do you really have a choice. And if you don't, and become enmeshed in your daily and own little world problems, how will you affect the world around you? You cannot. You must come out among them..the world, the United States, your community, your own home, and BE YE SEPARATE.
He doesn't call us for this purpose to make life hard on us, although it surely shall.
So how's your faith in Christ? Are any of you sick? What does he say? Call the Elders of the Church to come lay hands on you. The faith of two or three believers can drive sickness and disease, chronic sicknesses, from your life. Are you enslaved to something or someone you know you should not be? Then what must you do? Separate yourself. We are not living in a time for meek, luke warm, when I feel like it Christians. They will fall by the wayside. And many are doing that just at this moment. You see it all around you. In your personal friendships and relationships. Are you next? Will you allow yourself to be by your apathy? Apathy in Christ. That's not possible. God and Christ separate. Was Christ separated? Absolutely more than any other soul ever was or will be. Alone. He walked alone, with only the Father all the days of his life.
Concerned about what other's will think? Right NOW...you better get over that and yourself brother or sister. God didn't call the timid or those living daily in fear or anxiety. He didn't call those who would continually conform to this worlds standards. He called those, imperfect, you and I because he didn't give us a spirit of timidity and fear, but a spirit to be bold in this life and in this world. Not...OF this world.
Your personal challenge this year is to separate yourself from every person, thing, possession, bad habit, lust, need you feel you have. Your call this year is........
To come out from and among them.
To consecrate yourself and your life. To BECOME a holy believer. One pleasant and pleasing to God Almighty. This is your quest and mission which God has spoken for me to give you. Only you know what must change. The Holy Spirit has been and will continue to be speaking to you about it. Sink or swim brother or sister. And when you think you can't go on and you will surely sink or die, try allowing Christ to carry you.
Come OUT among them and BE YE SEPARATE.

~To The Men Whom Have Lost Their Jobs ~

I understand. I think that is wonderful for you to be with your 83 year old father. Family is all we truly have on this Earth. Times right now are drastic and awful for everyone honey. We are all struggling.
Perhaps sweetie, you should look at the loss of your job this way. I am sure having to move in with your dad is humbling, but then now you can dedicate what time he has left..right there with him. That'll matter to you BIG TIME up the road when he is no longer on this Earth. Do what you can now, love now and show it while you can. God said, to not be anxious, but in all things in prayer and supplication to him realize if He takes care of the birds of the air, how much more you? I am facing similar financial feats, but I trust the Living God. In 27 years as Christian I have been through thick and thin, and really hard times. Not once has he not come through for me. Not once. He will do the same for you if you but ask.
And this. Unfortunately this world tells a man they are what they do and what they have...$$. I've never once bought into that. Never. Of the many men friends I have and had throughout my life, powerful men, I've shared this truth. And many are stumbling now that the economy has taken a downward spiraling turn. They suffer, because they have never known who they truly are in Christ, as he sees them, and as the man they truly are..on THE INSIDE....not the pocketbook. It's hard for many a man right now daring. I have multbillion dollar friends who are penniless.
Trust God for your future, love your father while he is with you and you can and look at this as an opportunity instead of a backward step. Later..up your path..you will see this most clearly.

~ What's Genetics Got To Do With It? ~
Everything...And I do mean EVERYTHING.
We've all often wondered just how much our gene sequencing and DNA strands actually contribute to the person we are....physically, intellectually, emotionally ect. We give it a thought, and then move to the next topic crossing our minds.
Over the last year I've done a ton of reading and research on the subject. What I've found is staggering.
It isn't just the medical or physical stuff. Not even the emotional or chemical imbalance stuff. The testing today is incredibly accurate, and the knowledge coming forth from our DNA and gene strands...well...enlightening and horrifying at the same time.
I know you've all been wondering where the heck IS..Lee? The truth isn't very exciting actually. I've been spending time with my immediate family, bonding, learning, and some heart in the throat all the time stuff. My daughter and two grandchildren have been with me every single day over the past four or five months. I've had a lot of bad news, some will call it. But actually it's just life and the hardships that can and will eventually ensue. I'm of the mind to make the best of what we are dealt in life. What's the other option eh? I've found my grandson suffers from ADHD, autism spectrum disease, and PDD-NOS for those informed on such matters. I could tell you it breaks my heart. But funny thing...I always knew my grandson was a very special little man. I've always known he was and would be different. Despite the strange emerging symptoms, he's gotta be the sweetest spirit of a boy/young man I've ever met. I've never met a boy or man like him. He has a smile that lights up any room. A laugh that brings one to tears. And a heart? One I've never experienced before. Not a mean bone in his body. Never an evil thought to harm another or work to get something out of a person for his satisfaction. Kind and fun and loving to all he encounters. Inquisitive about everything, and a mind that won't stop working....let alone a body that never sleeps.....too much to see and DO Nana!
Society puts a stigmatism on autism and like mental chemical imbalances. It just pisses me off and always has and will. We all are walking chemical factories. All of us with different balances and imbalances here and there. And all of this genetics? Absolutely.
We are, whether we want to admit it, see it or learn of it....a direct result of our genetic mixture from mom and dad. Ok..so we deal with the imbalances and defects, or so called societal defects. Even more frustrating is to know and understand exactly why we exhibit the symptoms of our imbalances or personal makeup, can look back at family members and see where it went bad for them. But the worst part of knowledge and understanding......understanding it is ALL in our genetic make up is this. Sometimes, no most times we cannot overcome the final edict/result. Call it a bent. We know we have it, we know it's not good, we seek all man made avenues to overcome it, but in the end, we succumb to the genetic makeup of our lives. Genetics are so strong, even if one understands the issue, tries and tries and tries to overcome, we will still succumb to the weak link in ourselves and our genetic makeup. You cannot alter or rehabilitate your genetic structure. However understanding your genetic makeup and why you do those crazy things you do that you know aren't healthy or good, is a whole separate issue and battle.
All we can do is realize our body is a chemical factory. And because of our genetic gifts from our blending parents, the best we can do is learn about it. Learn that it isn't that your bad or evil or unsavable. You simply ARE a product of the genetic structure given you. Now this is no excuse to give up or in or succumb. But rather this. Let me give you a couple examples.
Mental impairment or illness is not a singular disease. It is however the result of 1000's of genetic sequencing that once together provides a myriad of results. Two partners now can test for all kinds of genetic diseases and impairments in a perspective child. I don't know if that's so good know what I mean.
If you knew you would have an autistic child, would you bring it into this world? Most of you will say no. Would it surprise you to learn that it is now an EPIDEMIC? One in 15,000 children ten years ago. One in 150 now.
But I say WHAT? What kind of a society have we become (Hitleristic if you ask me) if an infirmity, disability, impairment or imbalance makes us unworthy of a try at life? As with my grandson. Yes I see the uphill battles coming. Yes I've had to acquire patience of a saint, and of course fail often at that. But what I see is a life of a boy God ordained to be in this earth. A boy who would know nothing but struggle and frustration and disappointment and labels being put on him. But have you ever noticed that God truly doesn't give a person more than they can handle? Case and point. My grandson will make you roll in laughter....frequently. Tear your hair out at times too, wink! But such a sweet and loving and bright mind and child, I've never seen. Cards stacked against him societally. But back to the genes. He also got the strong willed I will do it or prevail no matter what you or the masses say. A wonderment for learning and a voracious appetite for electronics and gadgets, constantly ascertaining the importance or relevance of a thing. An extrovert who by God is going to talk, even if it sounds like an alien one syllable language! He understands what he is saying, what? Can't you, lol.
My point is this. If you know and realize you are imperfect, maybe impaired according to the world and peoples snooty labels and judgements...has it ever occurred to you that you're made exactly and perfectly to God the way he designed you? Babes it ain't in your perfections that you shine in life and are loved and appreciated, it's in your fallibilities and weaknesses. Weaknesses and situations they say you'll never be normal in or overcome, that you have a chance to struggle towards betterment, or...demonstrate to people in this world that the blessings come through the imperfect in our world, not...the so called perfect. And, in our falls, imperfections, ailments, diseases, mental disorders (by the way 70% of corporate America are on some mood elevating drug....fact) don't these things give us a chance to see we can never be perfect, without fault or flaw? Thus perhaps finally realizing our need of God in our lives and those lives of our children? Isn't adversity the best teacher? Doesn't it humble us to be empathetic to those around us suffering too?
And one last thing. I am of the belief that God allows things like my grandson is suffering from, for another reason. When the world says you won't, you can't, you're autistic, you have ADHD, you're hyper, you have temper tantrums. Well.....ever consider the reason you are like this, or your child is suffering from whatever, that God gave this to you because he knew you'd find a way to overcome it and then help another?
Genetic flaws and diseases. Sometimes the best things in life come in so called (by the world) damaged packages. It is in our fallibilities and imbalanced bodies or minds that real humans........are crafted.
